Homemade Fettuccine Alfredo – A Comfort Classic
Share
Fettuccine Alfredo is always a hit in our house. It's hard to please all 5 of us. It's the recipe that everyone gets excited about when they walk in the door - not an easy task with a family of 5. But here’s the thing—skip the jarred sauce! Taking just a few extra minutes to make it from scratch is absolutely worth it. Not only does it taste infinitely better, but you also get to control the ingredients, making it fresher, richer, and surprisingly easy.
This dish is perfect on its own or served with grilled chicken for extra protein. Sure, it’s indulgent, but when you make it at home, it’s always healthier (and way more delicious). No mystery ingredients—just simple, high-quality staples: cream, butter, Parmesan, garlic, and love.
The Bowl That Changed Everything
And can we talk about the Sancerre Soup Pasta Bowl for a second?! I don’t know how I ever got by without it! It’s the perfect size for twirling pasta, catching every bit of that creamy Alfredo sauce, and making every bite feel extra special. If you love pasta nights as much as I do, trust me—you need this bowl in your life.
Next time you're craving something cozy and indulgent, make this homemade Fettuccine Alfredo. And if you haven't already, treat yourself to a Sancerre Soup Pasta Bowl—because good pasta deserves a great bowl!

Ingredients
-
8 ounces fettuccine pasta
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ cup unsalted butter
-
Salt to taste
-
Black pepper to taste
-
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
-
Optional: 2 cooked chicken breasts, sliced
Directions
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the heavy cream and butter, stirring constantly until the butter melts and the mixture is well combined. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
(Optional) Slice the cooked chicken breasts into thin strips.
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet and toss gently to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. If adding chicken, toss it in now.
Remove from heat and let sit for a couple of minutes to allow the sauce to thicken further.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately in your Sancerre Soup Pasta Bowl for the ultimate pasta night experience!
Recipe Note
Why Make Alfredo at Home?
- Fresher & healthier – No preservatives or unnecessary additives.
- Easier than you think – Only a handful of ingredients and a few minutes.
- Tastes way better – The homemade sauce is creamier and richer than anything from a jar.
