Ina Garten's Herbal Iced Tea

Ina Garten's Herbal Iced Tea

Years ago, when I worked in the bakery at Barefoot Contessa, we were constantly brewing tea to make the herbal iced tea. It was a huge hit and hard to keep up with the demand on a hot summer day.

Ingredients needed for Ina Garten's Herbal Iced Tea

This recipe couldn’t be easier. Just brew 4 Lemon Zinger and 4 Red Zinger bags of tea in 4 cups of boiling water. After 10 minutes, discard the tea bags and add 4 cups of apple juice. We always used Martinelli’s Pure Apple Juice at Barefoot Contessa.

This drink is delicious and refreshing. Great to serve at any luncheon/picnic and or to have on hand as an everyday refreshment. Try it! I think you’ll find that you’ll make it just for yourself! Make sure you have a large pitcher on hand, such as our Ariana or Woodbury pitchers. Enjoy! Cassandra-

This tea is so refreshing! I make it with dried hibiscus flowers (same thing as Red Zinger) which I buy online or at the local Mexican food store. I keep a pitcher of cold tea in the ’frig and a small container of lemon slices to garnish my glass.
